I want to clarify that while this product does contain xylitol it is well below the toxic dose when properly diluted in drinking water. I am a veterinarian and I recommend this product daily and use it for my 6 cats. It is a valuable addition to any dental care regimen. Please note that any medication is toxic if you overdose it, this is no different - pets should never drink this product straight out of the bottle. When used properly this can aid in the prevention of gingivitis and tooth loss in cats and dogs. If you have further concerns please discuss them with your veterinarian!

The third ingredient is Xylitol, which I heard from my vet is toxic to animals. I think she said it can cause liver damage and seizures. They didn't sell this at the hospital and maybe this is why. I purchased Aquadent from Allivet. Research xylitol before deciding to buy this for you pet.
