COMFORTIS chewable tablets kill fleas and are indicated for the prevention and treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) on dogs for one month.
COMFORTIS chewable tablets are given orally once a month, at the recommended minimum dosage of 13.5 mg/Ib (30 mg/kg).

Dosage and Administration:

COMFORTIS chewable tablets are given orally once a month, at the recommended minimum dosage of 13.5 mg/Ib (30 mg/kg).

Recommended Dosage Schedule:

Precautions:

COMFORTIS chewable tablets are for use in dogs and puppies 14 weeks of age and older (see ANIMAL SAFETY).

Use with caution in breeding females (see ANIMAL SAFETY). Use with caution in dogs with pre-existing epilepsy (see ADVERSE REACTIONS). The safe use of COMFORTIS chewable tablets in breeding males has not been evaluated.

We had tried everything you could think of medicine wise and "old time" methods of getting rid of fleas. Nothing worked. Then we got Comfortis and the fleas were gone the next day!

Best Flea Preventative Ever	June 14, 2008

Prior to Comfortis, I tried every flea preventative known to man and dog. Nothing worked. My house and yard were infested and my poor dogs, as well as my husband and me, suffered with constant bites. Since we have switched to Comfortis 3 months ago, the fleas are GONE. We also treated the yard with beneficial nematodes, and the house with borax. This stuff is pricey, but it is worth every cent.

I live in Florida were fleas are a year round problem, plus we live on 3 acres can't keep that much land flea free. I have 3 small dogs and fleas were a night mare until we found out about comfortitis from our vet! Thank goodness we are fleas free!!!

one of our dogs is not only allergic to fleas, he's allergic to spot-on treatments like frontline so you can imagine our frustration. the area we live in has a very active flea season (about 10 months out of the year) so our vet suggested this product. so far, so good. even though all the dogs get combed every night and we usually find one or two on the dogs, we found 5 dying fleas crawling on the one we gave the pill to about 3 hours after ingestion. seeing the fleas dying was nice. hopefully it will work for at least 3 weeks. now we're thinking about using it on our other dogs too.
