Ketoconazole is an antifungal medication used to treat yeast infections, blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, aspergillosis and cryptococcosis. It has also been used to treat Cushing's disease. kETOCONAZOLE September 21, 2008 Reviewer: April Stepp from Saint Anne, IL United States   I have a dog I got as a stray, Blk Lab mixER EARS WEIGHED 1lb EACH. both ear canals were closed from edema after 20 doses 1 1/2 tabs 2xaday the  swelling was gone and the canals were open to normal size.She now respond to sounds& the last culture showed no more yeast infection. we still have a long way to go due to her previous neglect but we are on the right track.
