OCUFEN (flurbiprofen sodium ophthalmic solution, USP) is available for topical ophthalmic administration as a 0.03% sterile solution, and is supplied in a white opaque low density polyethylene bottle with a controlled dropper tip and a gray high impact polystyrene cap in 2.5 mL . Store between 15° - 25° C (59° - 79° F). Flurbiprofen eye drops belong to a group of medications known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. They are used to reduce inflammation in the eye after cataract removal and other types of eye surgery. They are also used to prevent narrowing of the pupil (the black part of the eye) during eye surgery, and to prevent a condition called cystoid macular edema (CME) after eye surgery.
