pancreatic insufficiency is a disorder in which the pancreas does not produce an adequate amount of digestive enzymes. This deficiency results in poor digestion and malabsorption poor absorption. The starches, proteins, and fats found in the animal diet cannot be broken down to be absorbed through the intestinal wall. The nutrition value in the food stays in the gastrointestinal tract and is passed out in the feces undigested.
