Ketoconazole is an antifungal medication used to treat yeast infections, blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, aspergillosis and cryptococcosis. It has also been used to treat Cushing's disease. Treatable infections may affect the skin, claws, lymph nodes, respiratory tract, bone, and other tissues. May take a week or two to see results, but treatment can last up to several months. kETOCONAZOLE September 21, 2008 Reviewer: April Stepp from Saint Anne, IL United States   I have a dog I got as a stray, Blk Lab mixER EARS WEIGHED 1lb EACH. both ear canals were closed from edema after 20 doses 1 1/2 tabs 2xaday the  swelling was gone and the canals were open to normal size.She now respond to sounds& the last culture showed no more yeast infection. we still have a long way to go due to her previous neglect but we are on the right track.
