The Preg-Alert Pro is a multi-purpose highly versatile A-Mode ultrasonic instrument for performing the following tests and measurements in a wide range of animals. The Preg-Alert Pro provides all of the features of the former Preg-Alert, as well as many new features. Many of the old features have been greatly enhanced in this microprocessor controlled next generation instrument. The testing process is totally non-invasive, minimizing the chance of infection and disease transmission. Optional Deep Probe for Early Pregnancy Detection in Cows & Mares. (The standard probe may be used after 90 days gestation.)

Features

Pregnancy detection in mammals ranging in body size from large rabbits and foxes to cattle and horses.
Backfat thickness measurement (in mm or inches) for animals having one, two, or three layers of backfat.
Loin muscle thickness measurement (in mm or inches). Uses the appropriate speed of sound factor when measuring fat or muscle.
Also measures the thickness of certain other tissues, such as breast thickness in poultry and blubber thickness in some aquatic animals, e.g. the Harbour Porpoise.
