Spec-tuss a palatable powder used as an expectorant in horses. Directions: Dissolve 1 lb of Spec-tuss in one gallon of water to make stock solution. Dosage: Mix one pint of stock solution with 15 to 25 gallons of drinking water, or ½ to 1 oz stock solution 3 times daily. ½ to 1 oz of Spec-tuss may be given in food or drinking water daily. For best results animal should be kept on medicated food or water for 3 to 4 days. One pound of Spec-tuss medicates 200–400 gallons of drinking water. Contains Guaifenesin USP.................7% (w/w) Compounded in a base of sucrose, potassium iodide and ammonium chloride with coloring and flavor added. Caution For animal use only.
