Quartermaster Description
QUARTERMASTER (penicillin-dihydrostreptomycin in oil) is intended for administration in fair cows during their durations of drying out. The medication’s effect helps to diminish the intensity of current Staphylococcus aureus infections and inhibit the risk of reinfection.
What is Quartermaster?
Is indicated for use in dairy cows at drying off to reduce the frequency of existing infection and to prevent new infection with Staphylococcus aureus in dry cows.

This product helps to decrease the prevalence of active infections. It also works as defense against future infections.
Quartermaster side effects
For intramammary insertion in drying off cattle only. Do not administer six weeks before freshening. Do not administer to cattle that have begun to lactate. Milk extracted from cattle ninety-six hours post calving cannot serve as food. Do not slaughter for food for sixty days after administration or ninety-six hours after calving.

Overview
The FLEXI-TUBE is designed to provide the choice of either insertion of the full cannula, as has traditionally been practiced, or insertion of no more than 1/8 inch of the cannula, as recommended by the National Mastitis Council.
 
a. Full Insertion: Remove the white end cap by pulling straight up as shown. Gently insert the full cannula into the teat canal; carefully infuse the product.
 
b. Partial Insertion: Remove both the white end cap and the red cannula by pushing sideways as shown. Gently insert the exposed white tip into the teat canal; carefully infuse the product.
