What is Cerenia Tablets?
Cerenia is an oral medication used for the prevention of acute vomiting and the control of vomiting due to motion sickness in dogs.

How Cerenia Tablets work?
Cerenia 60 mg, 4 Tablets contains maropitant citrate which acts an antiemetic. By blocking substance P, a compound responsible for triggering vomiting, Cerenia can prevent acute vomiting in dogs.

What are the side effects of Cerenia Tablets?
In rare, drooling, lethargy, drowsiness, lack of appetite and diarrhea have been reported. Consult your veterinarian if you notice any of the above side effects.

What special precautions are there?
Not recommended for dogs less than 16 weeks of age.
Not for use in animals hypersensitive (allergic) to maropitant citrate.
Use with caution in dogs with liver problems.

What to do if overdose?
Contact your nearest emergency animal hospital.

How can I store Cerenia Tablets?
CERENIA Tablets should be stored at controlled room temperature 20°-25°C (68°-77°F) with excursions between 15°-30°C (59°-86°F).

Helpful Tips:
Do not wrap the tablets tightly in fatty food such as cheese or meat, since this may keep the tablets from dissolving and delay the effect of Cerenia.

CERENIA (maropitant citrate) Tablets are indicated for the prevention of acute vomiting and the prevention of vomiting due to motion sickness in dogs.


Cerenia is given orally. For motion sickness, this medication can be given once a day for up to two days in a row. Dogs should not be fed 1 hour prior to giving Cerenia. Give Cerenia 2 hours prior to travel.


CERENIA Tablets are recommended for use in dogs 16 weeks and older. 


Administer CERENIA Tablets orally at a minimum dose of 2 mg/kg (0.9 mg/lb) body weight once daily for up to 5 consecutive days.
