Selenium and Vitamin E work together in defense of bodily cells, protecting them from free radicals (damaging oxidative by-products). Normal production of energy results in a release of free radicals. Selenium is a glutathione peroxidase component, which is a helpful enzyme that prevents formation of free radicals and works to destroy lipid peroxidases. These enzymes are not beneficial and are damaging to the cell membranes. After damage occurs, cells cannot function appropriately. This leaves the horse susceptible to a variety of health issues.

Overview
1 scoop = 1,500 IU vitamin E and 1 mg selenium. Mix in feed. Provide 1 scoop per day mixed in with daily feed ration. Do not feed more than 1 scoop per day unless directed to do so by a licensed veterinarian.
