Novox Chewable Tablets Description
Novox (Carprofen) are intended for use as treatment for inflammation and pain from joint diseases like hip dysplasia or arthritis; it can also be used as a fever reducer. They come in a chewable tablet form in the following strengths:
  • 25 mg
  • 75 mg
  • 100 mg

They come in the following counts:
  • 30
  • 60
  • 180

Typical dosage recommendation is 1 mg per pound of body weight, administered every 12 hours by mouth. While taking this medication, your pet should have periodic kidney and liver function testing.

Novox (Carprofen) are non-steroidal chewable tablets used to reduce pain associated with inflammation, arthritis, osteoarthritis joint pain and hip dysplasia. It can also be used to reduce fever.

Novox (Carprofen) tablets are intended for use in dogs that are at least 6 weeks old.

What does Novox Chewable Tablets do?
Novox (Carprofen) is an anti-inflammatory, non-steroidal, and non-narcotic that has antipyretic activity and analgesic characteristics that are exactly equipotent to that of indomethacin.

Overall, NSAIDs that are cyclooxygenase inhibitory can have association with renal and gastrointestinal toxicity.

This may be due to enzyme cyclooxygenase inhibition and a decrease in the production of prostaglandin; they both work to ensure prostaglandin formation with arachidonic acid.

Always keep this and all medication away from children.
This product should NOT be used in animals that are nursing or pregnant. Do not use for cats. If your dog has shown hypersensitivity to carprofen previously, do not use.

In strengths of 25 mg, 75 mg and 100 mg. In bottles of 30, 60 or 180 count scored caplets.
