  • Treats and prevents bovine coccidiosis associated with Eimeria zuernii and Eimeria bovis
What does Corid 20% Soluble Powder, 10 oz do?
Corid mimics the activity of Vitamin B1 (thiamin) on the body, which coccidia requires to grow and reproduce. Upon ingesting Corid, coccidia become thiamin-deficient, then starve as a result of malnutrition. Corid stops the activity of coccidia at critical stages in the small intestine of the host animal, preventing more harmful coccidiosis of the animal's large intestine. By working at the asexual, young stages of the life cycle of coccidia, Corid offers first-generation schizont exposure, allowing the host animal to form a natural coccidia immunity. This process makes Corid an effective preventative treatment.
