This formula contains perna, which is a green-lipped mussel found in New Zealand waters. These edible mussels are freeze-dried to include the entire organism, locking in several of the nutrients required for maintenance of normal joint function, cartilage health, and connective tissue health. It is also rich in nucleic acids DNA and RNA, polysaccharides, protein complexes, glycoproteins, vitamins, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), fatty acids, naturally-chelated minerals, polypeptides, and amino acids. Perna contains GAGs of all major classes, including chondroitin 6 sulfate, chondroitin 4 sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. These elements work to feed the connective tissue, including synovial fluid, ligaments, tendons, and cartilage. GlycoFlex products contain GlycoOmega perna canaliculus, which is proprietary to VetriScience. Perna provides nutrients that support other bodily systems, including gut health, function of the immune system and bladder, vascular system, and sperm motility.
