Scarlex Description
Scarlex® is a slow-drying, antiseptic, soothing dressing for use on superficial dermatitis, burns, cuts, surface wounds, and surface lesions. It contains P-Chloro-M-Xylenol, which is a potent germicide, along with scarlet oil. The formula is non-irritating, promotes faster healing, and works to relieve itching.

What does Scarlex do?
This wound dressing uses the beloved Scarlet Oil dressing in the form of a pressurized, easy-to-use spray bomb containing P-Chloro-M-Xylenol. This ingredient is fungicidal and germicidal. It is significantly more potent than Phenol, but does not irritate the skin tissue.
Scarlex ingredients
- Methyl Salicylate .45%
- P-Chloro-M-Xylenol .45%
- Benzyl Alcohol 2.80%.
What to know before using Scarlex
- Do not use on animals intended for food slaughter.
- Do not allow contact with mucous membranes, eyes, or skin.
- If swelling, irritation, or redness persist or worsen, withdraw use and speak to your veterinarian.
- Only for external use.
- If a severe burn, puncture wound, or deep wound occur, consult your veterinarian.
- Not for use in humans.
- Keep away from children.
- Intentionally misusing this product through deliberate concentration and inhalation can result in serious harm or death.
- If respiratory difficulty occurs, breathe fresh air and contact a medical professional.
- In case of contact with the skin, thoroughly wash using soap and water.
- Use gloves when handling.
- If eye contact occurs, use plenty of water to flush for 15 minutes, then seek medical attention.
- Vapors are harmful. Use only in conditions of sufficient ventilation. Do not continuously breathe spray mist and/or vapor.
- Never discard the empty can in a home garbage compactor.
- Never store at temperatures over 120° F, burn, incinerate, or puncture.
- Contents are pressurized and incredibly flammable.
- Do not allow prolonged exposure to heat sources, hot water, stoves, radiators, or sunlight.
- Do not use around open flame, heat, or sparks. The vapors of this product will accumulate quickly and can explosively ignite.
- Never smoke near this product. All ignition sources should be extinguished.
- Area should be well-ventilated while using this product and remain ventilated until vapors have completely diminished.
