Resvac 4/Somubac protects cattle from infection with Haemophilus somnus, bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) Type 1 virus, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus, parainfluenza-3 (PI3), and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV).
What does Resvac 4/ Somubac do?
This vaccine contains modified live virus to protect healthy cattle from infection with Haemophilus somnus, bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV), parainfluenza-3 (PI3), bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) Type 1 virus, and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus. These viruses can lead to infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, bovine viral diarrhea, and other diseases.
Resvac 4/ Somubac side effects
This vaccine can cause anaphylaxis. If this occurs, administer epinephrine and follow up with supportive therapies.

What to know before using Resvac 4/ Somubac
- Only administer to healthy animals.
- Do not administer to pregnant cattle or nursing calves.
- Entire contents should be used upon opening.
- This vaccine contains polymyxin B and neomycin as preservatives.
- Burn unused contents and containers before disposal.
- Never vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
- Use sterilized needles and syringes, but never sterilize with chemicals as trace amounts can cause inactivation.
- Keep out of reach of children.
