What special precautions are there?

  • Do not administer to pregnant animals. Birth defects have occurred in fetuses exposed to this medication.
  • If your pet has known kidney or liver disease, use Zonisamide cautiously, only if your veterinarian has recommended it, and only if the benefits are greater than the potential risks.
  • Do not administer to pets with allergies to sulfonamides or similar medications.
