Product Overview

Product Description

Ampicillin is a typically bactericidal and time-dependent antibiotic agent that works by inhibiting the synthesis of the cell wall. Ampicillin and other types of aminopenicillin are particularly active against several varieties of gram-negative microorganisms that are not affected by penicillinase-resistant or natural penicillins, such as certain strains of Haemophilus, Klebsiella, and E. coli. Beca-lactamase-producing bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus inactivates these aerobes, much like natural penicillin.
*Sold in individual capsules of 250 mg or 500 mg.

Why use Ampicillin Capsule?

How does Ampicillin Capsule work?

Ampicillin works to kill bacteria because it prevents them from constructing cell walls as they grow. This occurs through inhibition of peptidoglycan chain linking. These are primary components in gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria within cells.
