Tips for using J-5 E. Coli Bacterin
The three-dose regimen helps stimulate the immune system for
optimum response to help fight E. coli.
Overview
Shake well. Three doses are required. Administer each 5 mL dose subcutaneously, one hand-width cranial to the shoulder. Vaccinate cows or heifers at 7 and 8 months of gestation followed by the third dose within two weeks postpartum.
Recommended dose, route, and regimen are as follows:
Cows: 5.0 cc SQ in neck at 7 and 8 months gestation, and postparturient.
Does: 2.0 cc SQ in neck at 3 and 4 months gestation, and postparturient.
Sows: 2.0 cc IM under ear at breeding, 2 months gestation, and postparturient.
