What are the side effects of J-5 E. Coli Bacterin?

Local swelling occasionally occurs and may persist at the injection site. In case of anaphylactoid reactions, epinephrine should be administered immediately.

What special precautions are there?

Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter.

What to do if overdose?

Consult your nearest emergency animal hospital.

How can I store J-5 E. Coli Bacterin?

Store at 35° F to 45° F (2° C to 7° C). Do not freeze.

Helpful Tips:

The three-dose regimen helps stimulate the immune system for optimum response to help ?ght E. coli.

Shake well. Three doses are required. Administer each 5 mL dose subcutaneously, one hand-width cranial to the shoulder. Vaccinate cows or heifers at 7 and 8 months of gestation followed by the third dose within two weeks postpartum.
 
Recommended dose, route, and regimen are as follows:
 
Cows: 5.0 cc SQ in neck at 7 and 8 months gestation, and postparturient.
Does: 2.0 cc SQ in neck at 3 and 4 months gestation, and postparturient.
Sows: 2.0 cc IM under ear at breeding, 2 months gestation, and postparturient.
