Prednisolone Acetate 1% Ophthalmic Suspension treats pain and inflammation caused by injury, surgery, or infection. It comes with a convenient dropper top for easy application.
What does Prednisolone Acetate 1% Ophthalmic Suspension - 15 ml do?
Prednisolone acetate is a glucocorticoid medication. Based on weight, it has three to five times the anti-inflammatory strength of hydrocortisone. It inhibits the phagocytic migration, capillary dilation, fibrin deposition, and edema of the acute inflammatory response. It also prevents scar formation, collagen deposition, and capillary proliferation.

  • Formation of posterior subcapsular cataracts

Prednisolone acetate ophthalmic suspension, USP 1% is supplied sterile in opaque white LDPE plastic bottles with droppers with white high impact polystyrene (HIPS) caps as follows:

Tips for using Prednisolone Acetate 1% Ophthalmic Suspension - 15 ml
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and apply the next one as directed. Never give a double dose.
Overview
Shake well before using. Instill one to two drops into the conjunctival sac two to four times daily. During the initial 24 to 48 hours, the dosing frequency may be increased if necessary. Care should be taken not to discontinue therapy prematurely.
