TriTop contains ingredients that help treat inflammation, infection, and pain. Isoflupredone Acetate is a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps decrease inflammation associated with infections on the skin and in the ear. Neomycin is an antibiotic that works to kill multiple species of susceptible bacteria. Tetracaine acts as a topical anesthetic agent that helps relieve the pain associated with skin/ear infection and inflammation.

What are the side effects of Tritop Topical Ointment, 10 gm?

Possible Side Effects: TriTop ointment has little to no side effects most of the time if it is used exactly as directed. Local irritation may occur. If TriTop is used chronically, it can lead to hearing loss, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Other side effects are possible. Call your veterinarian without delay if your pet seems to be acting unusual while TriTop is being used.

What special precautions are there?

Keep away from children and animals. TriTop may not be safe for pregnant and lactating females as it can lead to birth defects especially if ingested. If the membrane that separates the external ear from the middle ear is ruptured, applying TriTop to the ear may lead to hearing loss.

Contact your nearest emergency animal hospital
