Product Description

Equine Potomavac® + IMRAB® is a liquid suspension that contains inactivated Ehrlichia risticii and rabies viruses.
Before purchasing, be sure to verify your state regulations to ensure that you can legally perform rabies vaccinations.

Who is Equine Potomavac + IMRAB for?

For use in healthy horses (3 months old and up).

How does Equine Potomavac + IMRAB work?

This vaccine uses inactivated Ehrlichia risticii and inactivated rabies virus to vaccinate horses. This builds antigens that prevent rabies and Potomac Horse Fever.

How is Equine Potomavac + IMRAB sold?

Equine Potomavac + IMRAB is sold as 1 dose (1 ml) vial or 10 dose (10 ml) vial

What are the side effects of Equine Potomavac + IMRAB?

In rare cases, vaccines can produce the following side effects:
  • Lethargy
  • Inflammatory reactions
  • Hypersensitivity reactions
  • Fever
If one of these reactions occurs, your horse can normally be treated with antihistamines, epinephrine, and/or anti-inflammatories.

What special precautions are there?

  • Results may not be optimal when vaccinating horses with compromised immune responses due to disease, stress, or other conditions.
  • Never vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
  • Gentamicin is included for preservative purposes.
  • Shake thoroughly prior to use.
  • Upon opening, use all contents.

How can I store Equine Potomavac + IMRAB?

Don't freeze. Store at 2-7°C (35-45°F).

Helpful Tips:

Using aseptic technique, Inject a single 1mL dose intramuscularly. For Ehrlichia risticii vaccination, revaccinate with another dose 3 to 4 weeks after the initial vaccination using Equine Potomavac™ or this product. Annually revaccinate with one 1mL dose.


Use as prescribed by your vet.
