Nobivac 3 Rabies vaccine is for vaccination of healthy dogs, cats, ferrets, cattle and sheep as an aid in preventing rabies. The vaccine is prepared from cell-culture-grown, chemically-inactivated rabies virus. Re-vaccination for dogs and cats not needed for up to 3 years (yearly re-vaccination recommended for ferrets, cattle and sheep). 

Rabies vaccines cannot be sold to the following states: AK, AL, AR, CA, CT, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, MD, ME, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OK, OR, PR, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VT, WA, WV, WY. Check with your state prior to buying to see if you can administer a rabies vaccination.

What is Nobivac 3-Rabies Vaccine?

Nobivac 3 aids in the prevention of rabies. It is made from a chemically inactivated, cell-culture grown rabies virus.

How does Nobivac 3-Rabies Vaccine work?

The seed virus in Nobivac 3 is a fixed strain, highly immunogenic rabies virus. It originates from Louis Pasteur's original isolated virus from 1882. It is an inactivated form of the virus in liquid form, made with a highly purified adjuvant.

How is Nobivac 3-Rabies Vaccine sold?

Available in 10 ml - 10 dose vial or 50 dose tray

What are the side effects of Nobivac 3-Rabies Vaccine?

Anaphylaxis could occur after use and should be treated with an initial dose of epinephrine, followed by suitable supportive therapy.

What special precautions are there?

  • Use sterile needles and syringes to inject.
  • Upon opening, use entire contents.
  • Consider all factors before immunizing, including weather, parasitism, nutrition, stress, other treatments, disease, impaired immunological competency, or individual idiosyncrasies.

What to do if overdose?

Contact your nearest emergency animal hospital.

How can I store Nobivac 3-Rabies Vaccine?

Store at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). Do not freeze. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures can adversely affect potency.


Dogs and Cats:
1. General Directions: Shake well. Aseptically administer 1 mL subcutaneously. Dogs may be vaccinated intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
2. Primary Vaccination: Administer a single 1 mL dose at 3 months of age or older to healthy dogs and cats. A repeat dose should be administered 1 year later.
3. Revaccination: Subsequent revaccination every 3 years with a single dose is recommended for cats and dogs. For ferrets, annual re-vaccination is recommended

Cattle and Sheep:
1. General Directions: Shake well. Aseptically administer 2 mL intramuscularly.
2. Primary Vaccination: Administer a single 2 mL dose at 3 months of age or older to healthy cattle and sheep. A repeat dose should be administered 1 year later.
3. Revaccination: Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
