Alpha-7/MB-1 Cattle Vaccine Description
Alpha-7/MB-1 Cattle Vaccine is for the vaccination of healthy, susceptible cattle as an aid in the reduction of diseases caused by Clostridial organisms (blackleg), and for the prevention and control of pinkeye in healthy cattle caused by Moraxella bovis. A 4 month duration of immunity has been demonstrated against M. bovis. Available in 10 dose/20 ml vials or 50 dose/100 ml vials.

What does Alpha-7/MB-1 Cattle Vaccine do?
Chemically inactivated cultures of (Clostridium Chauvoei-Septicum-Novyi-Sordellii-Perfringens Types C & D-Moraxella Bovis Bacterin-Toxoid) help provide immunity against blackleg and pinkeye in healthy cattle. Immunity may be provided against the beta and epsilon toxins elaborated by Clostridium perfringens type B. This immunity is derived from the combination of type C (beta) and type D (epsilon) fractions.
Alpha-7/MB-1 Cattle Vaccine side effects
Injection site swellings will often occur that may persist. Anaphylactoid reactions may occur. Antidote: Epinephrine.

What to know before using Alpha-7/MB-1 Cattle Vaccine
Keep away from children and animals. Do not vaccinate within 60 days before slaughter. The use of a biological product in lactating dairy cattle can cause reduced milk production. Warning : Animal inoculation only. Accidental injection to humans can cause serious local reactions. Contact a physician immediately if accidental injection occurs.

Use as directed by your veterinarian

Dosage & Administration :
Using aseptic technique inject a single 2 mL dose Sub-Q to cattle 2 months of age or older, prior to the onset of pinkeye season. Calves vaccinated under 3 months of age should be revaccinated at weaning or at 4-6 months of age. A 2 mL booster dose is recommended annually.

Prepared from chemically inactivated cultures of the above organisms with the special DD-2 adjuvant system to maximize immune response.
