Product Description

Component E-C with Tylan implants work to increase the weight gain rate of suckling beef calves under about 400 pounds. One 5-pellet dose contains 4 estradiol benzoate and progesterone pellets (10mg of estradiol benzoate and 100mg USP of progesterone) and 1 tylosin tartrate pellet (29mg) that works as a local antibacterial.
This product comes in a cartridge belt with 20 doses. Made for use with the Component EZ Implanter Gun (sold separately, Allivet Item #50885).

What are the side effects of Component E-C with Tylan?

Potential adverse reactions after implantation include:
  • Edder development
  • Heavy hide weights
  • Vaginal prolapse
  • Sunken loins
  • High tailheads
  • Rectal prolapse
These reactions are rare and considered insignificant compared to the potential benefits of this product.

What special precautions are there?

  • Never administer to a bull calf intended for breeding or to a calf under 45 days of age.
  • Not for use in humans. Only for animals use.
  • Follow directions carefully.
  • Restricted drug in the state of California.
  • Safety and efficacy for use in veal calves is not proven.
  • Not for use in dairy animals or animals intended for subsequent breeding.
  • No withdrawal period is established for use in pre-ruminating calves.
  • Keep out of reach of animals and children.

What to do if overdose?

Contact your closest emergency pet hospital.

How can I store Component E-C with Tylan?

Store in a dry and cool environment. 59° to 86°F (15° to 30°C). Avoid excessive heat and humidity. Discard open foil pouches.


DOSAGE: Administer 1 implant per animal 

Implant one dose - 5 pellets (entire contents of one cartridge cell) - in the ear subcutaneously. Any other site of implantation is in violation of Federal Law. DO NOT attempt to salvage implantation site for animal feed or human food.
