For use in horses, cats, and dogs.

Why use Derma-Gel?

Features of Derma GeL®:
  • Accelerates healing
  • Lowers inflammation
  • Decreases pain
  • Offers a bacterial barrier and thermal insulation with no bandage required
  • Contains no steroids or mutagenic agents
  • Does not harm the wound
  • Allows new epithelial cells to produce, avoiding discoloration of hair and minimizing scarring
  • Encourages wound healing from the bottom and sides, increasing the contraction rate of the wound
  • Allows for epithelial cells to migrate across the wound and exponentially multiply, which enhances healing
  • Maintains a moist wound environment, which prevents the formation of scabs
  • Requires fewer applications due to the acceleration in healing time
  • Extends the "golden period" for suturing beyond the usual 8 hours
  • Offers no excessive tissue granulation (proud flesh)
  • Requires no secondary dressing
  • Protects wound by repelling insects
  • Bacteriostatic and bactericidal, controlling infection
  • Offers unsurpassed, round-the-clock, complete wound care

How does Derma-Gel work?

Derma GeL® ensures a moist environment to maintain viability of epithelial cells to 97%, enabling healing cells to migrate across the bed of the wound, multiply, and enhance healing of the wound by increasing the contraction speed of the wound. The moist environment disallows scab formation, which promotes wound healing from the bottom and sides. A moisture-free wound forms a scab. To heal, epithelial cells must migrate below the scab and reach moisture, enabling healing. Epithelial cells that have to migrate further do not typically survive, which delays healing of the wound.
