Cobiva II for Dogs and Puppies is a spot-on flea preventative meant to be administered monthly. It kills the eggs, larvae, and adult fleas through comprehensive flea protection. It works by preventing re-infestation and killing adult fleas. This effectively breaks the life cycle of the flea to prevent larvae and flea eggs from development into adult fleas.

This product comes in a 3 dose/3 month supply and in the following containers based on weight:
  • 3 to 10 lbs.
  • 11 to 20 lbs.
  • 21 to 55 lbs.
  • 55 lbs. and over

What are the side effects of Combiva II for Dogs and Puppies?

    After applying this medication, closely monitor your dog. Side effects rarely occur, but may include product application site irritation including scratching, signs of discomfort or redness. If this happens, call 1-800-999-0297 or contact your veterinarian.

    If initial application causes a reaction, do not reapply and consult your veterinarian.
  • In some cases, dogs have experienced diarrhea, vomiting, or hyper salivation.

What special precautions are there?

    Always keep this and all medication away from animals and children.

    CAUTION: This medication causes irritation to the eyes and is harmful if swallowed. Do not allow this product to come in contact with your clothing or eyes. After handling this product and before drinking, eating, using tobacco, chewing gum or using the restroom, wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap.

    Domestic Animal Hazards
  • Only use this product on dogs and externally. Never administer this product to dogs weighing less than 3 lbs. or less than 7 weeks old. Do not administer this medication with any other pesticide products simultaneously.
  • Always use caution and speak with a veterinarian when administering this product to dogs that are nursing, pregnant, medicated, geriatric, or debilitated in any way. Administering a pesticide of any kind to a dog in rate cases can lead to sensitivities.

    If symptoms become more severe or persist, contact a veterinarian. Consult your vet about using this or any type of pesticide product if your dog takes other medication.

    First Aid
  • If this product is swallowed, immediately contact a doctor or call poison control for specific instructions. The affected individual should sip water from a glass if they can swallow. Never induce them to vomit unless a doctor or poison control directs you to do so. Never administer medication or water to a person that is unconscious.

    Contact with Eyes
  • If this product gets in your eyes, slowly rinse with water for up to 20 minutes while holding the eye open. If you wear contact lenses, remove them after 5 minutes and continue to rinse the eye. For specific treatment advice, contact a doctor or poison control.

    Contact with Clothing or Skin
  • Use soap and water to thoroughly cleanse the area. Before reusing, wash and remove clothing that has been contaminated.

Contact your closest emergency pet hospital.

How can I store Combiva II for Dogs and Puppies?

Store in a dry and cool environment.


Simply open one of the enclosed tubes, then part the hair on the neck at the base of the skull of your dog until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube to expel the entire contents of the tube directly on the skin. Do not get this product in your dog’s eyes or mouth. The product is bitter tasting and salivation may occur for a short time if the dog licks the product immediately after treatment. Treatment at the base of the skull will minimize the opportunity for the dog to lick the product. Re-apply monthly as needed.
