FURA-ZONE is an FDA-approved water soluble antibacterial ointment administered topically for the prevention or treatment of surface bacterial infections in wounds, burns and cutaneous ulcers. May also be used as a sweat.

What to know before using Fura-Zone
If your horse has serious burns or deep puncture wounds, only use the product if it is veterinarian recommended.

Discontinue use and consult your veterinarian if your horse’s swelling, irritation, or redness increases or persists.

Fluorescent lighting and alkaline material exposure should be avoided.

CARCINOGENESIS: THIS PRODUCT’S ACTIVE INGREDIENT IS NITROFURAZONE. IN MICE, IT HAS CAUSED OVARIAN TUMORS. IN RATS, IT HAS CAUSED MAMMARY TUMORS. SOME INDIVIDUALS MAY EXPERIENCE A HYPERSENSITIVITY TO THE PRODUCT. WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER APPLYING THIS PRODUCT OR WEAR GLOVES.

Tips for using Fura-Zone
Product can be applied to the lesion directly with a clean tool or with clean gauze. Bandage application optional. The lesion should be in contact with the product for 24 hours at least. You may change the dressing multiple times daily or leave it for longer if desired.
