What does Simparica Chewable Tablets for Dogs do?
The active ingredient in Simparica is sarolaner, which inhibits the function of the glutamate receptor and neurotransmitter gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor and works in insects at the neuromuscular junction. This leads to acarine or insect death caused by uncontrolled neuromuscular activity.

Encourage your dog to chew, rather than swallow their dosage (1 tablet) of Simparica. If your dog commonly swallows treats whole, you can break the tablet into pieces. Ensure that your dog consumes the complete dose. If you suspect that a full dose wasn't consumed, redosing is recommended.
