Ampicillin Capsule Description
Ampicillin is a typically bactericidal and time-dependent antibiotic agent that works by inhibiting the synthesis of the cell wall. Ampicillin and other types of aminopenicillin are particularly active against several varieties of gram-negative microorganisms that are not affected by penicillinase-resistant or natural penicillins, such as certain strains of Haemophilus, Klebsiella, and E. coli. Beca-lactamase-producing bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus inactivates these aerobes, much like natural penicillin.
*Sold in individual capsules of 500 mg.
