Otomax® is a corticosteroid and antimicrobial ointment that treats chronic or acute otitis externa caused by gentamicin-susceptible bacteria and/or yeast.

What does Otomax Ointment do?
Using three active ingredients, Betamethasone, Clotrimazole, and Gentamicin, Otomax ointment provides antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties to fight outer ear infections and associated inflammation.
Otomax Ointment side effects
The potential adverse reactions to this medication are related to the ingredient Gentamicin. While it is not well-absorbed by the skin, Gentamicin has a potential for irreversible or reversible kidney and ear toxicity when applied topically to large wounds, denuded skin, and burns for extended periods.

Tips for using Otomax Ointment
If you miss a dose, apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and apply the next as directed. Do not give two doses at the same time.
