Iverhart Plus Flavored Chewables (ivermectin/pyrantel) are used in the prevention of canine heartworm disease. This medication eliminates heartworm larvae (Dirofilaria immitis) in the tissue stage, providing 30 days of protection following infection. It also controls and treats hookworms (Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum) and ascarids (Toxascaris leonina and Toxocara canis). What to know before using Iverhart Plus
- Certain Collie breeds are more sensitive to the ingredients of Iverhart than other breeds.
- Efficacy is marginally reduced in dogs with parvovirus.
