What are the side effects of Methylprednisolone 4mg Tablet?

If your pet experiences any of the following serious adverse reactions, discontinue use and seek emergency veterinary attention:
  • Sudden weight gain
  • Increased blood pressure (blurred vision or severe headache)
  • Allergic reaction (hives, swelling of the face, tongue, or lips, or difficulty breathing
If your pet experiences any of the following less serious adverse reactions, continue using but speak to your veterinarian:
  • Increased thirst
  • Increased hunger
  • Problems controlling diabetes
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle weakness
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Stomach upset
  • Vomiting
  • Nausea
  • Insomnia
Rare potential adverse reactions include:
  • Changes in behavior
  • Glaucoma
  • Cataracts
Other adverse reactions could also occur. Discuss any bothersome or unusual side effects with your veterinarian.
