What are the side effects of Clindamycin Hydrochloride Capsules?

If your pet is currently on any other medications, the pet parent should check with their veterinarian to see if it is safe for your pet to take Clindamycin. It is important to disclose your pet’s current medical situation and history to the veterinarian in order for them to be sure of this drug’s safety, and whether it will still register the desired effects. Your pet’s medical situation includes supplements, vitamins and minerals, and medications.

What special precautions are there?

Most of the time, Clindamycin its saftey/potency when taken alongside other medications. However, if your pet is currently taking supplements, vitamins and minerals, or medications, contact your veterinarian to ensure this product is safe for use. Allergic response may occur. Ask your veterinarian how you can find out if your pet is allergic to clindamycin or lincomycin.

Immediately contact your closest emergency animal hospital.

How can I store Clindamycin Hydrochloride Capsules?

Store in a dry and cool environment.

May induce diarrhea. If watery or bloody, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Recommended Dosage and Administration: Always use as directed by veterinarian. Medication should never be administered without first consulting your veterinarian. The usual dose for dogs is 2.5mg-15mg per pound every 12 hours for a maximum of 28 days. The usual dose for cats is 5mg-15mg per pound once every 24 hours.
