Which animals/pets is Seresto for Dogs for?
For use in dogs 7 weeks old and up. Small dog dose is for dogs under 18 pounds, and large dog dose is for dogs over 18 pounds.
Seresto for Dogs uses
Features of Seresto:
- Kills fleas, which can cause flea bite hypersensitivity (FBH) or flea allergy dermatitis (FAD)
- Helps control and treat Sarcoptic mange
- Light reflectors offer evening and night visibility
- Helps control the larvae of fleas in the surroundings of treated dogs after contact
- Kills fleas before they have a chance to lay eggs
- Repels or kills re-infesting ticks within 6 hours
- Prevents infestation of ticks within 48 hours post-application
- Quickly kills fleas within 24 hours of treatment and continues treating infestations for 8 months
What does Seresto for Dogs do?

Tips for using Seresto for Dogs
Seresto kills and prevents ticks for up to 8 months, including Deer ticks (a carrier of anaplasmosis and Lyme disease), American dog ticks (carrier of ehrlichiosis and Rocky Mountain spotted fever), Brown dog ticks (carrier of bartonellosis, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis, canine hemoplasmosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and babesiosis), and Lone Star ticks (carrier of ehrlichiosis). This convenient collar does not have to be removed while your dog is swimming or being bathed.
Overview
Keep the collar in the bag and in the outer packaging until use. As with any pesticide product, do not allow small children to play with the collar or reflectors, or to put them into their mouths. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and cold water after fitting the collar. People with sensitivity reactions to the ingredients of the collar should avoid contact with the collar. Choking hazard. Contains small parts. Do not place collar or reflectors in mouth. Not intended for use on humans.
For external use on dogs only. Do not use on other animals. Do not use on puppies under seven weeks of age. Do not get this product in dog’s eyes or mouth. As with any product, consult your veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, breeding, pregnant, or nursing animals. Individual sensitivities, while rare, may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, remove collar and bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs persist, or become more severe, consult a veterinarian immediately.
