  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Sweating
  • Shaking
Other potential side effects include:
  • Weight gain
  • Edema (swelling)
  • Rash
  • Pruritus (itching)
  • Lipodystrophy

  • Allergic reactions

What special precautions are there?

  • Systemic or local allergic reaction could occur in sensitized individuals due to product exposure.

  • Overdose can lead to profound hypoglycemia or death.
  • With this and all other insulin products, the patient should be carefully monitored for hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. This is fundamental in maintaining and achieving proper glycemic control and preventing associated complications.
  • Do not use during hypoglycemic periods.
  • Do not administer to cats or dogs with known systemic pork or pork product allergies.
  • Keep out of reach of animals and children.
