Topiramate Tablet Description
Topiramate is a drug used in veterinary medicine to treat seizures disorders in dogs and cats. Topiramate is typically not given as the primary method of seizure control, but used in conjunction with other anticonvulsive drugs. It is commonly used in dogs with cluster seizures (several seizures in a short period of time). What to know before using Topiramate Tablet
Keep away from children and animals. This drug should not be used in animals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to the drug, or pets with impaired liver or kidney function. It should be used with caution in pregnant or nursing pets. Topiramate may interact with other medications such as amitriptyline, acetazolamide, dichlorphenamide, lamotrigine, phenytoin, and valproic acid. Consult with your veterinarian to determine if other drugs your pet is receiving could interact with this drug.
