We have had great success with these when giving subq fluids to our cats. Please do not buy from the big online store. Those are not really medical grade for injecting - only extracting liquid meds. Many reviewers say those ones are dull when used on their pets. These ones are not dull and typically go in very smooth.
These needles are working well for the fluid infusions we have to give our dog. Previously we were using 18 guage needles and having trouble with the injection site leaking during the procedure. No problems so far with the 20 gauge needles.
My pet has kidney disease and needs subcutaneous treatments
less painful than 18 gage cheaper than from vet
Best quality!
excellent service and price
This is the gauge of needle you need to use to give sub-q fluids to your pet. Yes, it takes a bit longer to administer fluids, but the hole you are puncturing in your pet is so much smaller. Also, less fluid will leak out of your pet when you finish the treatment. ProTip: When selecting a needle, the higher the number (gauge) the smaller the diameter of the needle.
This product helps my cat who had renal problems.
Need for ringers and other shots for bunnnies
good flow ez to use
needles my cat likes
Yes, I could finally get 20g x 1" needles at the same place I purchase my Lactated Ringers and the IV lines! The needles go in very smoothly.
SQ administration
Great price for this item. Costs considerably more at local vet supply stores.
I love Allivet. They are so convenient for me and my Kitties!!!
Great prices
Got the needles to give our Cat the sub-q fluids he needs daily for CKD. Easy to order and a good price. will update review after we receive and use these 20 Ga 1" needles.
works great on my cat
I bought the 1 inch needle instead of the 3/4 inch needle that I got from the vet since my pup moves around while I am trying to give her the fluids she requires due to kidney disease. These work better and do not slip out of her skin when she moves.
Best size needle for Percorten, which is a thicker solution.
Easy to use, and can't beat the price.
The needles are very good. The only reason I'm giving it a 4-star instead of 5, is because I've been using 19 gauge needles through my vet and they were perfect. Allivet doesn't carry 19g -- only 18g or 20g. I went with the 20g because I thought it would be a little smaller & not cause as much discomfort to my cat. But that small difference really made the IV fluids run a lot slower. My kitty doesn't really like to hold still for this anyway. So making him sit there for almost twice as long is not a good thing. I will order the 18g from now on.
It's a little slower giving lactate ringers, but not bad at all and it a small puncture not a big hole.
These needles are a good combination with Percorten.
Great service and prices!
needles to go along with my vaccines
These needles are very sharp. I use for sub-q fluids and the flow is pretty fast.
Appreciate the chance to save money on my pet's medical supplies! Thank you!
Great price and easy ordering proccess!!!
