Product Overview
Amoxicillin Trihydrate and Clavulanate Potassium Tablet is an oral formula containing clavulanate potassium clavulanic acid potassium salt), a ß-lactamase inhibitor, and amoxicillin trihydrate, a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is effective in treating infections that are caused by susceptible bacteria. It may be prescribed for dogs and cats with skin and soft tissue infections or periodontal disease.
It is a medication for dogs and cats that combines the broad spectrum antibiotic activity of amoxicillin which is effective against many gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, such as those that cause soft tissue and skin infections in cats and dogs, urinary tract and infections and periodontal disease in dogs.
For use in cats and dogs.
Features of Amoxicillin Trihydrate and Clavulanate Potassium Tablet:
- Acts against many gram-negative and gram-positive anaerobic and aerobic microorganisms for as long as 30 days.
- Considered a safe way to treat your pet for harmful bacteria.
- Treats urinary tract infections.
- Clinically effective in treatment of canine periodontal disease.
- Treats soft wound and skin infections like dermatitis, cellulitis, accesses, and wounds.
Clavulanate and Amoxicillin, the two primary ingredients, both provide broad-spectrum antibiotic properties, working in tandem to provide additional benefits. Clavulanate weakens some Amoxicillin-resistant bacteria, causing them to become susceptible to it. Amoxicillin stops the bacteria from forming a cell wall.
This medication is thought to be safe to use cautiously during pregnancy.

My vet's prices are outrageous. Allivet is very reasonable and so great to work with. My vet won't work with the online pharmacies as people have found out that there are other choices out there. Because of my vet's attitude and policy I wound up needing to talk to Allivet's pharmacist. He was very knowledgeable and worked with me to get my dog's medication. Your online representatives were just awesome in working with me. Even though my vet is making it very difficult, I will chose Allivet every time! The vet's meds are history in my book! Thank you Allivet
