This medication is the only thing that works on my cat's atopic dermatitis. I think a common complaint is that it doesn't taste good and it would be nice if the manufacturer could make it more platable. Be that as it may, my Vet tried everything and this is the ONLY medication that works. Allivet is excellent with shipping. The product is packaged well and always arrives on time.

Gabby came to us with allergies, which was making her over-groom, licking herself raw at times. It progressed to her eyes and we started using Atopica which has cleared up her eye issue, it also keeps her from over-grooming. She is happier. She now spends less time grooming and uses the extra time to slap our other cats. She is Siamese!

My Remy has terrible allergies. Without this he swells in the face and paw pads regularly. This was our last hope. He'd already been placed on special food and special litter. I'd changed cleaning supplies, bowl materials, everything outside of allergy testing. This gave him his quality of life back! My only frustration is how expensive it is. It's a big commitment financially and something he will have to be on for the rest of his life.

My 15yr old cat suddenly developed a skin allergy last year and after spending hundreds of dollars trying to figure out what was wrong my vet recommended Atopica. The initial sticker shock for price (for only a 5ml bottle) was a little hard to do but after I saw the effect on my cat and his quality of life I was SOLD! This stuff is amazing! I did halve the dose because he's a 15lb cat and I was using a bottle a week based on his size, so I halved the dose and it's worked out just as well! So far so good! Our cat has bad allergies, and we had tried every over-the-counter option we could. Finally our vet prescribed Atopica and our kitty finally found relief to her constant itching, and ear and eye infections. The itching is still there but not nearly as common as before, and she has had no eye infections since starting with Atopica (usually had 1-3 a year)! She has been taking it for almost a full year with no negative side effects.

Used on a daily basis to prevent mouth inflamation. Much more effective than steroids and safer for long term use!

My cat suffers terrible, constant itching when he has been without this. Initially it was pricey because I had to administer this daily for a few weeks, but then the dosage is tapered off and he typically only needs his dose two to three times a week to maintain the effects. This is an excellent option to those cats who are receiving cortisone injections for itching. Cortisone damaged his heart, and he cannot take it any longer but Atopica works wonderful!

This was a lifesaver for my cat (and those kept up by her all-night licking!). She was overgrooming and we initially thought it was anxiety, but after trying pheromones and gabapentin, we eventually tried Atopica in case it was allergies. It worked—her fur is growing back, she’s sleeping through the night and not waking us up meowing at all hours, and is clearly much more comfortable and relaxed. The price is steep, but it seems to be cheapest here and the improved quality of life (for all of us!) is definitely worth it.

My cat had a bad attack of atopic dermatitis in December. Her whole head was covered in scabs and she had pulled the hair off of her legs, belly and crotch area. Within a few days of starting the Atopica she was starting to heal. After three weeks her head was healed but then she had a bout of diarrhea and was not making it to the litter box. I reduced her to every other day and after a few weeks the diarrhea has resolved. She did have a few episodes of leaving a pile in inappropriate places (like my recliner) but not in the last two weeks. She acts like she has cramps before she has an accident. Now she gets dosed every 3 days and she still itches a bit but not to the point of ripping her head apart, especially the day before she gets her next dose. She HATES the taste and she will not eat food if you put it in there. So on dosing day it is a challenge to catch her. The cost is lower than the natural products I tried before and they only worked so-so.
