Spectra 6 comes in a ready-to-use syringe and is used in the prevention of coronavirus, parainfluenza, parvovirus, adenovirus, hepatitis, and canine distemper.

Canine spectra 6 is a new modified live virus vaccine for dogs that contains canine distemper, hepatitis, adenovirus, parvovirus, parainfluenza, and coronavirus that is available in a ready-to-use 1 dose syringe with needle.
For use in healthy dogs ages 6 weeks and up.
Features of Spectra 6:
- Exceeds all current USDA standards
- CAV-1 (infectious canine hepatitis) can cause respiratory infection, and the CAV-2 fraction present in Spectra 6 protects against CAV-1
- One-dose syringe allows for easy subcutaneous injection
- Type 2b parvovirus in this formula provides protection and immunity to the vaccinated puppy or dog
- Immunizes against coronavirus, parainfluenza, parvovirus, adenovirus, hepatitis, and canine distemper
The Parvovirus in Spectra 6 provides cross protection and rapid immunity against all recognized field strains of Parvo.
No side effects to Canine Spectra 6 have been reported.

In case of overdose, contact your closest emergency pet hospital.
- While rare, serious allergic reactions (anaphylactoid) could occur, requiring urgent veterinary care.
- Animals who are stressed due to parasitism, malnutrition, or shipping, or those incubating a disease, might not maintain or achieve an appropriate immune response.
- Only healthy animals should be vaccinated.
- Maternal antibodies could interfere with protective immunity in puppies vaccinated under 16 weeks old.
- Do not administer to mink or ferrets.
- Pregnant animals should not receive vaccinations.

- Until they reach 16 weeks of age, puppies should be re-vaccinated every two to three weeks because of maternal antibody interference.
- Dogs over the age of 12 weeks should receive an initial dose of Spectra 6 and receive a second dose two to three weeks later.
- It is recommended to re-vaccinate yearly with a single dose.
Dosage and Administration: Always use as directed by your veterinarian.
The dosage is 1 mL injected subcutaneously. Open syringe by twisting or tapping the cap against a hard surface to break the heat weld. Prepare the vaccine by injecting the diluent into the vial containing the desiccated vaccine cake. Shake well. Withdraw entire contents into the syringe. Thoroughly prepare injection site with antiseptic. Lift the loose skin behind the neck or behind front leg and insert needle. Inject entire contents of syringe. Do not inject directly into blood vessel.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before injecting vaccine, pull back slightly on syringe plunger. If blood enters the syringe freely, choose another injection site. A recommended vaccination schedule should start at or about 6 weeks of age. The presence of maternal antibody is known to interfere with the development of active immunity. Puppies should be revaccinated every 2 to 3 weeks until at least 16 weeks of age. All dogs over 12 weeks of age should initially receive one dose of Spectra® 6 and a second dose 2 to 3 weeks later. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
