Product Overview

Catego for Cats is a once-monthly, topical, spot-on tick and flea preventative. It works to kill chewing lice, flea larvae, and flea eggs. Quicky-acting, this formula kills fleas within six hours following application, achieving 97% efficacy within three hours. It kills ticks in every life stage, protecting cats from deer ticks (Ixodes scapularis), Lone Star ticks (Amblyomma americanum), American dog ticks (Dermacentor variabilis), and brown dog ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus) in every stage of development.
Available in your choice of a three-month, three-dose supply or a six-month, six-dose supply.

This treatment contains active ingredients of pyriproxyfen, fipronil, and dinotefuran, which work together to effectively and rapidly kill ticks and fleas in all life stages. Catego is the only product that combines the three active ingredients of pyriproxyfen, fipronil, and dinotefuran. Therefore, it boasts a unique advantage with its triple-power formula.
  • Cats should always be monitored following application.
  • Individual sensitivities can occur after the use of any pesticide, including application site discomfort, scratching pruritus, erythema, and temporary redness.
  • If you notice symptoms of sensitivity, be sure to give your cat a bath using mild shampoo or soap and use plenty of water to rinse.
  • If symptoms of sensitivity do not resolve after bathing, notify your veterinarian.
  • Gastrointestinal effects, including diarrhea or vomiting, are possible.

  • Transient application site irritation may occur. If symptoms persist or if they become severe within the first few days after application, seek immediate veterinary attention.
  • Do not allow contact with clothing, eyes, or skin. After handling, wash hands thoroughly using soap and water prior to using the bathroom, using tobacco, chewing gum, drinking, or eating. Contaminated clothing should be removed and washed prior to reuse. Harmful when absorbed into skin. Mild eye irritation can occur.
  • Potentially fatal when swallowed.

How to open:
Separate one unit from the others..
Cut on both dotted lines with scissors.
Open the plastic lid.
Remove the tube.

How to apply:
Remove the applicator tube from the package.
Your cat should be standing or in a comfortable position for easy application.
Holding the applicator upright, pointing away from your face, place your thumb and index finger around the applicator tip under the large disk. With the other hand, grasp the stem of the applicator tip above the small disk. Press down firmly on the small disk until both disks meet, piercing the seal. (See illustration in the instructions enclosed with the product).
Part the hair down to the level of the skin and slowly apply the product at the base of your cat or kitten's head until the applicator tube is completely empty, as shown in the diagram on the instructions included in the package. Avoid superficial application to your cat's hair. Do not get the product in your cat's eyes or mouth.
Discard the empty applicator tube as outlined in the Storage and Disposal section.
Repeat every month, or as recommended by your veterinarian.
For optimal treatment, control and prevention of adult fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, ticks and chewing lice year-round treatment is recommended.

Tip: Wait until application site is fully dry (usually 24 hours) before bathing your pet or letting your pet go swimming
