This product must be mixed with water before administering.
For use in horses, cats, and dogs.
Doxycycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic frequently used for the treatment of many tick-borne diseases, including Lyme disease.
Doxycycline prevents protein production of bacteria, which is an essential function for bacterial reproduction and growth. Therefore, it prevents infection from spreading, allowing the immune system to kill existing bacteria.
  • The most frequently reported reactions to Doxycycline are vomiting and nausea. In these cases, administering the medication with food often lessens the effects.
  • While other tetracycline drugs should not be administered with food due to reduced absorption in the body, this medication does not present that issue.
