Which animals/pets is Equidone for?
For use in horses.
Equidone Gel promotes follicular growth when used in a transitional mare, and it also works to treat several other conditions.
This gel uses domperidone to prevent fescue toxicosis of periparturient mares. Domperidone is a D2 dopamine receptor antagonist.
The most frequently-reported side effect of Equidone treatment is passive transfer failure and premature lactation (before foaling).
