Be sure to discuss any side effects your pet experiences while taking flurbiprofen with your veterinarian immediately. Possible side effects include mild burning, irritation, redness of the eye, larger or smaller pupil size, and increased intraocular pressure. Rarely, bleeding of the eye or decreased ocular healing time post-surgery may occur.

Overdose of flurbiprofen may cause more severe reactions similar to those listed previously in the side effects section. If you suspect your pet or another animal was accidentally overdosed or has eaten this medication inadvertently, contact your veterinarian or the A.S.P.C.A.'s Animal Poison Control Center at 888.426.4435. Always bring the prescription container with you when you take your pet for treatment. If you or someone else has accidentally ingested this medication call the National Capital Poison Center at 800.222.1222.

Keep flurbiprofen and all drugs out of reach of children and pets. Flurbiprofen is a prescription drug and should be used according to your veterinarian's directions, and it should only be given to the animal for which it was prescribed. Do not give this medication to a person. Flurbiprofen should not be given to animals that are allergic to it, or drugs like it. It should be used with caution in animals that are also receiving an ophthalmic corticosteroid, that have an eye injury, that have dry eye syndrome, or those that are pregnant or nursing.
