Product Overview
Gentamicin ophthalmic solution is an antibiotic that treats eye infections caused by susceptible bacteria. These include:
- Dacryocystitis
- Acute meibomianitis
- Blepharoconjunctivitis
- Blepharitis (eyelid inflammation)
- Corneal ulcers
- Keratoconjunctivitis
- Keratitis (corneal inflammation)
- Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
Gentamicin sulfate ophthalmic solution is a sterile, topical antibiotic agent for infections of the eye.
For use in horses, cats, and dogs.
Gentamicin is:
- Easy to administer
- Fast acting
- Proven to control bacterial infections
Gentamicin is a bactericidal aminoglycoside antibiotic. It binds the bacteria, which interrupts protein synthesis.
Serious adverse reactions are uncommon. The following symptoms could occur:
- Light sensitivity
- Eyelid swelling
- Eyelid or eye itching
- Blurred vision
- Eye redness
- Eye irritation
- Eye stinging
- Eye burning
Gentamicin Sulfate
Immediately contact your closest animal hospital.
Keep out of reach of animals and children.

Sandoz, Pacific Pharma, Med-Pharmex or other generic brand
- Do not use if drops contain particles or are discolored.
- Avoid touching the dropper opening to hands, eyes, or any other surface. The dropper opening is sterile. If it is contaminated, it could result in an eye infection.
- Shake bottle gently to ensure proper mixing of medication.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before use.
Use as prescribed by your vet.
Gentamicin Sulfate, Benzalkonium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Tyloxapol, Sodium Hydroxide, Dried Sodium Phosphate, Purified Water. * Sodium Hydroxide and/or Hydrochloric Acid may be added to adjust pH.
