GentaVed Topical Spray contains a corticosteroid and an antibiotic. This treats inflammation and skin infections, such as hot spots and dermatitis. The first active ingredient, gentamicin, is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works against bacteria-causing infections.
GentaVed Topical Spray combines an antibiotic with a corticosteroid to treat inflammation and skin infections like dermatitis and hot spots on dogs. Gentamicin, the first active ingredient, is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that kills bacteria causing infections. The second ingredient in GentaVed pet meds, Betamethasone, is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory effects.
Dogs
Features of GentaVed: Topical antibiotic. Works on some gram-positive and most gram-negative bacteria, such as Staphylococcus and some types of Streptococcus. Prescription-grade formula for superficial inflammation and infections. Gentamicin treats hotspots.
Gentamicin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, is a highly effective topical treatment for bacterial skin infections. It is bactericidal against a wide variety of bacteria.
Potential adverse reactions to GentaVed may include: Diarrhea, occasionally bloody, Vomiting, Polydipsia (excess thirst), Polyuria (excess urination), Anorexia, Weight loss, Elevation of SGPT and SAP enzymes, Cushing's disease.

Before treatment, remove excess hair and clean the lesion and surrounding area. Hold the bottle upright 3-6 inches from the lesion and depress the sprayer head twice. Administer 2-4 times per day for 7 days.
