Laverdia (Verdinexor) is a cancer drug for use in treating lymphoma in dogs. The active ingredient,
verdinexor, prevents tumor suppressing proteins from leaving the nucleus of
cells. As a result, the eventual death of cancer cells often occurs.
- This is the first tablet for the treatment of lymphoma in dogs to achieve conditional approval from the FDA.

Laverdia is a medication that treats lymphoma in dogs. The tablets are easy to administer and are available in 3 strengths: 2.5 mg, 10 mg, and 50 mg.
Laverdia contains verdinexor, which disrupts - and eventually kills - cancer cells by stopping tumor suppressing proteins.
Anorexia, weigh loss, elevated liver enzymes, vomiting, and diarrhea are among the most common side effects of dogs taking Laverdia-CA1.

Laverdia is for use only in dogs. It is conditionally approved to treat lyphoma in canines, and it is not for use in humans. Nursing woman, pregnant woman, or those who may become pregnant should handle or administer Laverdia. Additionally, they should not come in contact with urine, feces, saliva, or vomit of dogs who have been treated with the drug within the past 3 days. Laverdia may affect the male fertility. It’s advised to wear chemotherapy resistant gloves when handling Laverdia-CA1. Do not use in pregnant or lactating dogs or dogs used for breeding.
Laverdia is sold in three strength options: 2.5 mg, 10 mg, and 50 mg tablets in 16 ct bottles.
