Panacur Dewormer Granules 22.2% is used to both remove and control tapeworms (T. pisiformis), hookworms, whipworms, and roundworms for dogs.
Panacur Granules (Fenbendazole) Canine Dewormer indicated for the treatment and control of parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms in dogs.
Panacur Dewormer Granules 22.2% is only intended for dog use.
Panacur Dewormer Granules 22.2% is intended for the control and treatment of:
- Hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala)
- Roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina)
- Tapeworms (Taenia pisiformis)
- Whipworms (Trichuris vulpis)
Panacur® Granules 22.2% is an antiparasitic. It works by inhibiting the energy metabolism of parasites.
Panacur Granules caused side effects in 1% of canines who were treated with the medication. These symptoms include vomiting and loose stools.
Fenbendazole Granules 22.2%
Contact your closest emergency pet hospital.
To be fully effective, mix the daily dose with a small amount of your dog’s usual food. Your dog should eat all of the medicated food. If feeding dry dog food, it may need to be moistened to aid mixing. Repeat the daily dose for 3 days in a row.

A veterinarian should be consulted to assist with control, diagnosis, and treatment of parasites. Schedules for deworming are dependent on dog's activity and the climate in your area.
General guidelines for schedules are: Pups newly weaned (generally between 6 and 8 weeks old) are dewormed at 6, 8, 12 weeks old. Dam should be treated simultaneously with her pups. For dogs six months and older, twice annual deworming is recommended. Three daily treatments are needed for deworming.

Efficacy is dependent on the correct dose level based on body weight over the appropriate treatment period. When possible, animals should be weighed to determine body weight accurately, otherwise weights can be estimated.
It is important that the appropriate dose of Panacur® be ingested. This may best be accomplished by applying the granules as a top dressing or mixing with a small portion of the food prior to offering the main meal.
Refer to the DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION portion of the labeling for determining the appropriate dose for each species of animal.
The daily dosage of 50 mg/kg (22.7 mg/lb) can be achieved as follows: Using a gram scale, weigh out 1 gram of Panacur® (fenbendazole) Granules 22.2% for each 4.44 kg or 10 lbs body weight.
Daily dosages must be repeated for 3 consecutive days. Mix the appropriate amount of drug with a small amount of the usual food: dry dog food may require slight moistening to facilitate mixing with the drug.
