My lab is 16. He will be 17 at the end of November. His hips are shot. In all reality, he should have went to sleep a few years ago when he had trouble standing. Previcox is an amazing medication! He takes one pill a day and has for 3 years. He can stand and walk. His hips are still in bad shape but his movement is good and his pain is limited. I would recommend this medicine 100% to anyone with a large dog who has hip issues.

Previcox has been helpful to 3 of my pets: two dogs and a horse. It seems to "gentle" their aging joints and they all have been more active after starting this medication. Allivet generally makes the renewals easier and this convenience is appreciated. I would recommend Previcox to others, at least for a trial period. Our yellow lab, Angus, was diagnosed with severe elbow dysplasia at 2 1/2 yrs old. He is now 4. He has been on Previcox since diagnosis, after trials of anti-arthritic medications. This has worked best for him. It is expensive, but he is a small lab, and we work to keep his weight down to help protect his joints, thus, we can break a tablet in half and get 2 mos out of 30 tabs. We are hopeful that Previcox continues to give him pain relief, but Angus is a true lab and doesn't seem to know he has bad elbows!
